I've been involved in running HCoop the whole time, in some official capacity. Now I'm hugely busy getting started in my new position as a professor, so I want to relinquish all official duties and stay on only in a best-effort advisorial position. Thanks to everyone who's helped HCoop get this far! * RyanMikulovsky: I regret not accepting the nomination. My heart is not in it and I am currently in a major transitional period with, among other things, a new permanent geologist job. I will keep open the possibility of a future running. I certainly hope to at least volunteer in some capacity in a few months. I hope new board blood will reinvigorate HCoop -- especially its members. Thanks for the opportunity! * SrikanthSastry: While I would love to take on more responsibility in the day-to-day operations of HCoop, I don't have any ideas or vision for where the organization should be going or what it should be doing differently. So I feel that my position on the board would do more harm than good. Until such time that I actually have something to advocate for, I decline to accept my nomination. ---- CategoryElection
