This is a quick reference guide for all features available to users on Mire and Deleuze. TableOfContents

1. AFS

  • It is possible to mount your home directory on your own machine using [http://www.openafs.org OpenAFS].

  • AFS utilizes Access Control Lists; regular Unix permissions are not used. ACLs are far more powerful.

2. Bugzilla

  • http://bugzilla.hcoop.net is where most support requests are now made. The portal still allows specific requests such as installation of Debian packages.

  • Use your Kerberos password.

3. DomTool 2

  • DomTool 2 is a very powerful tool. It utilizes a very easy to understand language to setup personal services. See ["DomTool/Examples"].

  • Configuration files are located at ~/.domtool

4. Logs

  • Logs from services such as httpd (Apache) are now stored in ~/logs and are readable (but not writable) by you.

5. Mail

  • .forward should be created in the ~/.public directory.

  • .procmailrc should be instead written to ~/.procmail.d/procmailrc.

6. Portal

  • Use your Kerberos password.

7. SSH Access

  • You may now use http://ssh.hcoop.net to access Mire with any modern browser that supports AJAX.

  • Using the OpenSSH client, with Kerberos support compiled in, you may use ssh -K to login using Kerberos.
