2. Candidate Acceptances

When accepting, please include a statement for why you are running, or a note that one exists elsewhere on the wiki

I, Lenore Ramm, accept my nomination for the board. I am selfishly accepting this nomination, because I hope I will learn a great deal in the position. I also hope to contribute to hcoop, an organization in which I believe strongly. I am also on the board of the Durham Coop Market and have previously served on the boards of SplatSpace (Durham's Makerspace) and the Durham FM Association. I studied computer science at Duke, and am currently working for Duke's central IT organization, on the Identity Management team. I really like cheese.

I, Kevin Everets, accept my nomination for the board in a similar fashion to Lenore Ramm (and thank her profusely for taking the lead on doing so). I'm also looking forward to contributing however I can to hcoop. Though I currently sit on no other boards, I'm a professional software developer and amateur Free Software advocate (and occasional contributor). My hope is to espouse the virtues of community hosted services and I will endeavour to provide timely responses to the needs of the membership. I also hope to explore ways of extending the functionality of hcoop (via domtool where possible) to provide distributed and federated software alternatives in an easy and accessible manner.
