We're considering some remote back-up options now. Stay tuned for updates, or participate in the decision making on the hcoop-sysadmin list. | We have a near-daily backup to rsync.net. See BackupInfo. ---- CategoryNeedsWork CategoryMemberManual |
1. Local backups
Every day, we copy your home directory's contents to a back-up location in AFS. You will find the most recent image of your files in /afs/hcoop.net/old/user, following the same multi-level directory organization used within /afs/hcoop.net/user.
If you store e-mail with us to be accessed via IMAP or POP, then you'll find a similar recent image of your mail in /afs/hcoop.net/old/mail. This is a snapshot of your ~/Maildir, which is in a separate AFS volume from your main home directory.
Database backups are not currently available to members, except upon request.
2. Remote backups
We have a near-daily backup to rsync.net. See BackupInfo.
